Influence of oxyfluorfen on soil micro flora in the fruit-bearing apple plantation

چکیده
Studies were conducted in the period 2009-2011 in the experimental field of the Institute of Land Reclamation and Agricultural Mechanization – Sofia. The following treatments were used: a1 no herbicides with weeds (C0); a2 herbicide oxyfluorfen (Goal 2 E) at a rate of 250 ml / da; a3 herbicide oxyfluorfen (Goal 2 E) at a rate of 500 ml / da. The experiment was set up using long plots, three versions in three replications with harvest area size of 20m2. Herbicide oxyfluorfen (Goal 2 E) used at rates of 250 and 500ml/da, suppresses the development of ammonifying bacteria and bacteria-digesting mineral nitrogen in the 0-10cm soil layer and stimulates it in 10-20cm layers. Oxyfluorfen used at rates included in the study had no depressing effect on the development of actinomycetes and micromycetes at both depths studied. A significant effect on microorganisms in 0-10 cm and 10-20cm soil layers was not established after oxyfluorfen application.

Cultivar and fruit size influence bruise susceptibility and some physical properties of apple fruit
ABSTRACT- For most fruit types, including apples, bruising is the most common type of postharvest mechanical injury. Bruise susceptibility was investigated in 3 commercial cultivars (‘JazzTM’, ‘Granny Smith’ and ‘Fuji’) and among a range of 4 different fruit sizes (commercial counts of 135, 120, 100, and 88) in each cultivar. Bruising was carried out by dropping a uniform round steel ball (110g...

In this study influence of land-use type on soil respiration was investigated in poplar plantation, apple orchard (apple trees with understory grasses) and adjacent grassland sites in Seyitler Area, Artvin, Turkey. Soil respiration was measured approximately monthly in three sampling plots in each land use type from January 2005 to November 2005 using the soda-lime technique. Mean daily soil re...
متن کاملInfluence of 1-aminoethoxyvinylglycine hydrochloride and α-naphthalene acetic acid on fruit retention, quality, evolved ethylene, and respiration in apples
Effects of 1-aminoethoxyvinylglycine hydrochloride (AVG or Aviglycine HCl or ReTain) and α-naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) on fruit retention, fruit quality, eveloved ethylene, and respiration in ‘Rome Beauty’ and three ‘Delicious’ apple cultivars (Malus domestica Borkh.) were studied. The experimental trees were treated with either AVG, applied at 120 g a.i. per 935 L. ha-1 or NAA, applied at t...
متن کاملEvaluation of leaching potential of oxyfluorfen in clay soil under field conditions
Oxyfluorfen is a selective pre and post emergent herbicide used to control certain annual broadleaf and grassy weeds in vegetables, fruits, cotton, ornamentals and on non-crop areas. It is a contact herbicide and light is required for it to affect target plants (USDA 1990). Oxyfluorfen has a strong tendency to adsorb to soil particles. It is therefore, unlikely to leach downward or to, contamin...
متن کاملEffect of plantation with native and exotic species on soil CO2 emissions
The aim of this study was to investigate soil respiration in the plantation stands of Acer velutinum, Quercus castaneifolia, Fraxinus excelsior and Pinus brutia and to compare them with the natural stands in Sari educational-research forest of Darabkola. In order to measure physical and chemical properties of soil in each stand, 10 points were selected systematic randomly and samples were taken...
